Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix's talent for athletics was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first trial she took her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007 beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in every event.
